God has designed humanity to be in relationship. In fact, it's only in relationship that we truly express what it means to be made in the image of the triune God. But when sin entered our world back in the Garden of Eden, it wrecked any chance of us having the kind of relationships God wanted us to have. We can all point to relationships that haven't gone well! Christ came into our world to conquer sin and to reconcile us back into relationship with God and with each other. And yet many of us still don't have the kind of relationships Christ paid for us to have. We find ourselves hiding our struggles and weakness, living in fear of what people think, refusing to confront those who have hurt us, etc. All these kinds of things keep us from having real, healthy relationships. This sermon series is about becoming emotionally healthy, so that as the church we can live in authentic, life-giving relationship with one another.
