You are blessed!  That's the message Jesus declares to his disciples in the beatitudes in Matthew 5.  But what does it actually mean to blessed?  The beatitudes form the opening to what is probably the most well known sermon that Jesus ever preached, the Sermon on the Mount.  And yet they are often misunderstood and viewed by many as simply unrealistic and unattainable.  Throughout this sermon series we will look at what the beatitudes are and what they're not.  One by one we will unpack them to see the picture that Jesus paints of what life in the kingdom looks like and how blessed we really are as his disciples.
